St. Joseph Church at 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH 03246 US - Home

Welcome

Dear Parishioners,

“Be a beacon of light and hope for those struggling in a world of confusion and darkness.”    It is a time for us as church to reclaim our identity in Christ as his disciples, to build on the rich heritage that has been handed down to us by our parents and grandparents, and to proclaim the message of salvation with boldness and determination. As the Catholic Church we have so much to be proud of, to celebrate and to be grateful for. I invite you to join with me, Fr. Matthew Mason, the associate pastor, and the pastoral staff as we embark on this new chapter of the local church’s life
.

If you have been away from the Church for any reason, struggling with your faith or the teachings of the church; if you are looking for new meaning and purpose in your life; if you are looking to develop or deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ, I invite you to join us as we offer programs of renewal for all ages compromising of prayer groups, Scripture sharing groups, men’s and women’s ministry, youth and young adult ministry. If you’d like to talk with Fr. Matthew or myself, please call us at the rectory (524-9609) to set up an appointment.

I look forward to working with you as we embark on this journey together. As we do so let us hear the words of the prophet Isaiah “Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not; See I am doing something new! Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? (IS 43:18,19)

Sincerely,

Reverend Marc B. Drouin
Pastor

Profile

Saint Leopold was a contrast between physical frailty and spiritual strength. Four foot five inches tall, and physically weak, his health became worse with age. He had a stammer, suffered abdominal pains, and was gradually deformed by chronic arthritis, making his frame stooped, his hands gnarled, and his life one of endless pain. Spiritually, Leopold Mandic was a giant, full of Christian strength. His humility and faith in God enabled him to accept his poor physical condition, and realize God’s power - for without God he could do nothing.
