January 15, 2009 Meeting Has Been Cancelled
We had a successful Santa Store, we were able to give some kids and
opportunity to shop on there own and we made $150.00.
We have decided to discuss things via email instead of having a
meeting this month.
(The Jan.15th meeting is canceled)
BUT this means we will need to have a special meeting on
2/5/09 to decorate coffee cans for our Cookie Walk on Feb.
14 & 15 after the Masses.
So here is the revised schedule:
1.Thursday Feb 5th - Meet in religious Ed building at 3:30pm (both
groups) to decorate coffee cans.
2. Thursday Feb. 12th - Visit to St. Francis Healthcare Center. We
will meet in the church parking lot at 3:30pm and then proceed to the
Center to hand out flowers to the resident. (If your parent is not
going with us, you will need a permission slip filled out)
3. Sat/Sun Feb. 14 & 15 - Valentine Day Cookie Walk - sell cookies
after all Masses. Please let us know which Masses you can help after.
4. Thurs. winter vacation - Feb 26 - Tubing at Gunstock - Both groups
(time TBA)
As you know we have been collecting Shaw's receipts to benefit Ozanam
Place. It has been very successful.
We would like to make this a permanant way for the Youth Group to give
to charity and we are having a contest, among members, to name our
fundraiser. There will be a prize for
the winner. You can e-mail your suggestions to me or Mrs.
Gorewitz. The deadline for submissions is January 31st.
